It is recommended for students to start with Spanish once they have writing skills in similar alphabet, such as English. Normally, this is about the age of 6-7 years old or first to second grade in elementary school.

We believe that using the language is key to learning. Our program is designed to have in-class practice as well as speaking and listening practice at home.

Our program begins with building a strong foundation in pronunciation and listening. There is dedicated time to helping students with the basic phonetic and phonological rules.

Pronunciation is the foundation of understanding how sounds are separated into words and how to reproduce them. Even though most of the letters look the same as English, the great majority of sounds those letters represent are pronounced differently.

Materials needed include a story practice book, a grammar book and a notebook. Ability to hold an online class via Zoom.

Listening is an important aspect of language learning. Audiobooks for all the readings in the book have been professionally recorded and provided to students at no charge.

Work at home is VERY important because it represents practice away from class. The homework is divided in writing, recording and listening exercises.

Generally, students spend from 30 minutes to 1 hour per week.

The homework is assigned via Google Classroom.

Yes! We hold get-togethers to watch movies in Spanish. We play table top games such as bingo. We also organize local tours with guides in Spanish.
